There will be no other opportunity in the life of the men, women and children living in 2012 for witnessing the event again, as the next two TRANSITS OF VENUS will take place on 11 December 2117 and the 8 December 2125 !!!.
In June 2012, South-East ASIA, OCEANIA and the entire PACIFIC zone will be the best locations on the planet from where this extremely rare sight can be enjoyed.
Thus, this TRANSIT OF VENUS will be visible in totality from the PACIFIC OCEAN, South-East ASIA and OCEANIA.
People in North America will only see the start of the TRANSIT OF VENUS, whereas those in South Asia, the Middle East and most European countries will only see the end of the phenomenon, just after sunrise.
This TRANSIT OF VENUS will not be visible from most of the countries of West Africa and South America.
In all, the TRANSIT OF VENUS will last for over 6 hours in the areas from where the phenomenon will be fully visible.
Because of the rarity of the sight of an TRANSIT OF VENUS, is very more exciting to observe.
But that makes it all the more important to protect the EYES, because there is no safe phase during an TRANSIT OF VENUS. (See chapter PROTECT YOUR EYES)
