GENERAL MAP OF THE TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE
OF NOVEMBER 13th AND 14th, 2012

This solar eclipse is the EIGHTH TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE of the 21st century and the second SOLAR ECLIPSE of 2012.
.
It will be visible from three continents:
- South-West ASIAOCEANIA and the South-Eastern part of SOUTH AMERICA.
Its band of centrality will be visible in the form of a TOTAL ECLIPSE from AUSTRALIA, in the Northern part of the Northern Territory, then in Northern Queensland, and it will then cross almost all of the Southern PACIFIC OCEAN and will end off the Pacific coast of CHILE.
.
This TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE will be visible in a partial form from the areas to the far West of INDONESIA, from PAPUA NEW GUINEANEW CALEDONIA, NEW ZEALAND,
all the countries in MELANESIA and POLYNESIA and a large part of MICRONESIA and CHILE and ARGENTINA.
.
Note that this TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE will cross the International Date Line.
It will start early on WEDNESDAY 14 NOVEMBER 2012 in Southern INDONESIA, PAPUA NEW GUINEA, AUSTRALIA, NEW CALEDONIA, NEW ZEALAND and will end late on TUESDAY 13 NOVEMBER 2012 on the Pacific coast of CHILE.
That is exceptional and unique.
.
Total solar eclipses, because of their rarity and the spectacle they offer, are all the more fascinating to observe.
But it is therefore all the more important to protect one's EYES, during all the various phases of a total eclipse. (See chapter PROTECT YOUR EYES)
