GENERAL MAP OF THE SOLAR ECLIPSE
This solar eclipse is the NINTH PARTIAL SOLAR ECLIPSE of the 21st century and the last SOLAR ECLIPSE of 2014.
It will be visible as a PARTIAL ECLIPSE OF THE SUN across all the continent of NORTH AMERICA and in the Far East of RUSSIA. It will last over TWO HOURS.
This SOLAR ECLIPSE will begin in the Bering Sea to the East of the Kamchatkapeninsula and end in the Gulf of Mexico.
The obscuring of the SUN will reach almost 80% in several places in the North of ALASKAand in the province of NUNAVUTin CANADA and 70% in most of the provinces of CANADA and the northern States of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
This particular PARTIAL ECLIPSE OF THE SUN is of the type for which it is ABSOLUTELY imperative to wear "SPECIAL GLASSES" to protect your "EYES" when observing it, for the entire duration of the phenomenon.
Because of the rarity of the sight of an Partial Solar Eclipse, such eclipses are very exciting to observe.
But that makes it all the more important to protect the EYES, because there is no safe phase during an Partial Solar Eclipse. (See chapter PROTECT YOUR EYES)
